i dont know why this bothers me

a girl i went to high school with had a baby a few years ago and decided to give the baby up for adoption..well now shes saying that she never had a baby. i know its not any of my business but we were all out last night and i randomly asked her whens the last time she saw bella (her daughter) and she said what r u talking about? i said well didnt u give ur LO up for adoption and she looked at me like she had no idea what i was talking about!! why is she trying to hide it. its like uh hello we all saw u preggars

Thats just sad. Maybe she is trying to block it out because it was so hard for her to think about...

Maybe it's a sore subect for her and she just rather not think about it let alone talk about it to others?

I don't think it's any of your business to ask her about the baby unless she brings it up first. Adoption is a touchy situation, she probably doesn't want to think or talk about it, especially when she's out trying to have a good time.

Maybe she regrets it, and is trying not to even think about it.

Maybe that is her way of dealing with it. Why bring up something like that anyways when she is trying to have a good time?
Giving a baby up can lead the woman to go through a grieving process, so that question was kind of like, "Have you visited your dead grandpa lately?"

i was just asking ive never experienced adoption. i was just being friendly since i hadnt seen her in awhile and had no idea what was going on in her life..thought id ask

I imagine it's a painful subject. It's really NOYB anyways..

Agreed. Iwould die if I thought I had to make that choice.. and then to have someone I prolly hardly ever talk to be nosy about it.

Did you ever consider her feelings? I mean put yourself in her position, would you really want to be out with old friends and have someone bring up something painful from your past? You have to think before you speak.

i wasnt trying to be nosey i was trying to reconnect with her since we used to be really good friends like i said if i knew it was a touchy subject for her i would have NEVER asked i wasnt trying to be rude..i just knew that she was talking about seeing her last time i talked to her which was when bella was 6mths
