Should I lie?

posted 6th Nov
OK this is personal but I just found this out and need HELP!!

Should I lie? Interview help! 10 Pts?

I recently had to quit my job at a bank (BofA) and it was because they accused me of stealing! (I DIDNT)

anyways they didnt have proof (and they gave me a chocie to quit or be fired...long story) so I still qualified from unemployment (YES!)
good thing too because Ive been trying to find a job for almost 3 months with no luck

jobs are hard to find right now so I applied at Wells Fargo and they WANT AN INTERVIEW! So my interview is monday but I dont know what tell them!!!

I quit so that means BofA cant say anything about the circumstances surrounding my quitting BUT im not rehireable..

How should I explain that??

Should I say I had a problem with their policies?? (they did encourage us to lie to customers)

PLEASE HELP

I neeeeed a job! thanks..

I agree...just leave that out and I wouldn't say that you had a problem with their policies either. Maybe you could say (if you had to say anything at all), that you had an unfortunate personal situation that came up in your life that required you to vacate your position. Just be careful that they don't get the impression that you're a risky employee, if that makes sense.

I'd let them know honestly.

WF could still ask about any disciplinary actions taken against you so they could potentially mention it and who's to say BoA will play by the rules. The seed of doubt has been planted if BoA says anything and WF will not appreciate you hiding that from them.

Lying about it makes you look guilty if they find out.

So this is how its gonna go..

Interviewer: "So...Why did you leave BofA"

Me: "Well I quit because..."

I think its better to be honest, but if there is even a QUESTION of stealing, they are gonna move on to the next. Trust me, there is probably people behind you that need that job.

I would say an unfortunate circumstance etc...something along those lines. You didnt steal, you dont have to say you were accused of stealing. A person doesnt need to disclose those things...

so im going to say I had a disagreement over a customer issue..is or say there practices were unethical.. Ill throw my manager under the bus then b/c they were actually encouraging us to lie..

and also dont trust BofA..their fee's are ridiculous..Chase is much better
