What is wrong with my body?!?! FINAL UPDATE

posted 6th Nov
I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant again (8th time in the last 3.5 yrs) and it seems to be starting out like all the other failed pregnancies did! My hCG hormone is always so low that I don't get + hpt until at least 4 days after my missed cycle (5 days this time). Then my hCG levels will climb for a week or so, but never at the rate they're supposed to, until one day the levels start to decrease indicating that the pregnany has failed. I never get far enough along to see anything in an ultrasound, and every singe test my husband and I have undergone has come back normal. My doctor is at a loss. I am at a loss. I feel so hopeless, cause this one is starting exactly the way the others pregnancies did. What is wrong with my body?!?!

That's so sad, I'm so very sorry. I don't think it will always turn out that way...my friend didn't get a positive hpt until 5 days after her menstrual due date.

Have you tried taking progesterone or anything? I'm obviously not a doc, but I've heard of that helping in cases where your body doesn't seem to carry the pregnancy well in the beginning.

Seriously... I don't think I would be asking this question to a bunch of random strangers on a website. I think you have some sort of infertility problem and need to get tested to find out what exactly it is. It could be PCOS, which can cause a lot of miscarriages, but I'm not a doctor and don't have your medical records and testing so I wouldn't know.

I'm sorry for all your losses.

Have you ever tried taking progesterone? Maybe you have a progesterone deficiency.

Yes I use progesterone cream with every pregnancy.

I'm more venting than asking people to diagnose me. Sometimes you just need vent and let it all out. I'm just so overwhelmed and frustrated right now, which is not the reaction a person who just found out they're pregnant should be having.

Have you tried taking the baby asprin? I had three m/c in a row and my doctor sent me to Maternal Fetal Medicine. THey put me on 1 baby asprin a day starting the day I found out I was pregnant and 4MG of folic acid. I swear the baby asprin has gotten me this far.

Yes, I've been on low dose asprin and folic acid for about a year.

Yup, sometimes you do need to vent. Go ahead and let it out.

Thanks!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I want so much to just feel happy right now, but I can't. I just feel so depressed and hopeless. I seriously can't deal with another miscarriage, which means I need to have a serious talk with my husband about what course of action to pursue next if I do.

I would think that maybe you ovulated later than you think or you could have implanted later than norm? I really hope you don't have to go threw any more hard times. But one test isn't going to tell you if this one will fail to. My test was super light, but over time it went up and got darker. It understand it's hard to not know the reason for all your miscarriages. The thing about miscarriages, they suck all the happiness out of future pregnancies. I have not really been able to breath and not worry for the past 13 weeks.

Vent anytime, because sometimes you need to have support and know that you have people who have been threw something similar.

So, the hpt I took Sat afternoon was pretty clear with 2 obvious blue lines, but when I took one again this morning with my fmu the line was barely visible. If you were to just glance at it you would thinkt it was negative. So, it's pretty much as I expected. my hCG levels are not good right now. I go to the Dr in an hour to get a quatitive hCG level check. It'll be another couple of days and another blood test before they can confirm that my levels are dropping and that this pregnancy is failing. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the support ladies.

Has your dr tested you for Homocysteine? I had 2 m.c. right in a row and they tested me for that and I have it, now I take the folic acid and when I get pregnant I will have to take 2 shots of blood thinners a day plus see my OB and a high risk OB every 2 weeks.

Sorry for all your losses, my hubby and I are only going to try one more time, because I can't take the losses anymore either.

Good luck and {{hugs}}
