I don't know anyone who has been on it, but I wanted to ask did they ever figure out what was wrong with your son's leg.. I remember you saying the doctors thought it was a staph infection, is that all it was?

when they first diagnosed me with a mental illness they thought i had skitzoaffective disorder(spelling?) they put me on risperdal.. all i can say is \i wasnt on it very long.. it was making me delusional and paranoid and i couldnt sleep i was freaking out hearing shit.. all from that medicine.. thankfully over 3 years later im better now.. just a lil bipolar.. but who isnt now adays..


may i ask what your son has and how old he is?

It was an allergic reaction to a spider bite. Then when it was healing at school they put a generic bandaid on it and he had an allergic reaction to that. It's mostly healed up now though. Thanks for asking.

He is 6. ADHD, ODD, OCD, and possible bipolar. It seems like most meds work for awhile, then they just quit working.

i have bipolor, general anxity disorder,bdd(body dysmorphic disorder),ptsd

i really should take my meds.. but when i take them i feel emotionless. i reather have ups and downs and feel normal in my mind..

im not a fan of respirdal.. but alot of people seem to like it.. it just wasnt the med for me

Chandler has had different reactions to different meds. Most have been great for awhile and he's sweet and loving and can do great at school. But then they stop working and all hell breaks loose. There have been a few that have been bad from the get go. Seroquel was horrible. He didn't sleep fro 3 days straight on it. He became even more aggressive on Abilify then he was without meds.

see those worked greatr with me.. i was on seraquil 600 mg 3 times a day and all i did was sleep.. then when they took me off it i couldnt sleep for days.. so they put me on 600 one time at night for sleep.. ambilify i notice it hink it was ambilify works good with other meds..

i do better with colonipin the xanax..

gah i have about 10 different pill bottles around here..


ive been on almost every med out there.. my biggest thing is with i get the manic part of bipolar it takes alot to bring me down.. i'll be manic for a few days up to a few weeks.. while when im depressed it useally last a day or 2 a week tops now..



i think what helped alot with me (non medicinal) was either art therapy or group therapy with peers my own age.. i can relate to a 40 year old going through a midlife crisis or an emotional breakdown.. i felt like i was alone but when i went toa group session with young adults 18-25 at the end i felt "wow im not the only one who has problems "

my grandma took risperdal when she went to bed. She had pretty bad dementia.
