I'm gonna do this for my newborn and even my oldest son too. I had to stop BFing my son when he was 3 days old so I never had the chance to do anything. I dried up pretty quickly. My husband thinks I'm crazy for saying I'm gonna use my breastmilk for things like that.

> Well everyone else said Saline Drops (and yes, it's safe: My pedi told me to give that to my two month old when he had a cold)
> Humidifier (like everyone else said, again)
> Also, if you run a hot shower with the door closed, the steam will naturally breakup the congestion. It worked wonderful for my son.
> I also put pillows under the crib mattress so my son's head was more elevated. Poor guy was that stuffy.....
> Just wipe down everything, air out the place when it isn't too chilly, and cover your face as much as possible.... so germs don't spread.
> I got antibiotics when I got sick so my LO wouldn't get it but if it's a virus, you have no choice but to be cautious because that doesn't go away with meds
> There's not much more your can do for an LO that age. This should be good enough though for a cold.

Go to trader joe's and pick up some Echinacea GoldenSeal for babies. It's all natural and it works wonder. It will boost and strengthen you're lil man's immune system. My mother have been a Herbalist/Nutritionist for 20yrs now and she strongly recommends Echinacea GoldenSeal for all mommies and their babes'.

Yes ma'am. It's very potent so for an 2mth old, you'd only give them 1 or 2 droplets.

That's cool.
I was scared for everything at that age.... his grandmother suggested Karo Syrup for constipation and I was like he was just born (saying this when he was 3 months old lol) !! But it was a total 1st mother thing lol I will keep you tip in mind for the baby # 2. lol

I switching pedi's to one that will use natural/herbal remedies first before medications for viruses and such. I'm pretty excited about it. She has an extensive background in that as well as in medicine. She is certified in absolutely everthing

I got sick and gave it to Aeson when he was around 5 or 6 weeks and I just used baby saline nasal drops, and i would turn the shower on in the bathroom and sit in there wit him....the steam helped uncongest him. and I gave him a warm bath and he slept alot better after that cuz he wasnt so stuffy. also if you lay him across your lap and rub his back it helps get some of that up to. they just have such a hard time gettin all the mucus up   its so sad when they are sick.

i also put vicks on me so when i held him he would breath it in. esp if you get a chance to nurse him today put it on your chest and he will breath it in while his is nursing.

not sure for the stuffy nose, but if he gets a cough humidifying the air would definitely help. good luck! ~KP
