c section numbness and more pregnancies

posted 6th Nov
I had a question and I hope someone can help me.

I had a c section with my son 21 months ago and still have c section numbness from the nerve damage. I'm numb from my scar to my belly button. It feels like when your foot is asleep. I also 5 months pregnant. I can feel the baby kick but they aren't so strong. I was just wondering if the numbness can make the kicks less noticable? I would imagine so since any kind of touching outside isn't felt either. Or maybe it's because I'm only 5 months along and the kicks aren't that strong yet.

Are there any other moms like this? If you had had a c section and have the nubness did the feeling of movement get better as the pregnancy progressed? I'm only numb up to my belly button and that's where the baby can reach for now. Unsure if it gets bigger if I'll still feel numb.

Thanks in advance. I hope this made sense.

I was also wondering the same thing.
I am only 3 months pregnant, so won't feel anything for a while longer.
But I have c-section numbness too.
IDK if it'll change or not, but maybe it will
So you can feel your sweet LO in there.

I'm 8 months pregnant, and I have a 10 1/2 month old which I had via c section, and I noticed that the kicks and movements weren't as strong early on but they definatly are now.

I was able to feel the little flutters in my pelvis but once my uterus got up high enough I didn't feel him as much. Now that he's bigger I can feel him more but it's still not as strong unless he's kicking low in my pelvis. He's breech so I feel this most of the time. Sometimes I feel pokes a little higher but most are in my lower pelvic area.

Yea I just wasn't sure. I know once they get bigger teh kicks get stronger but wasn't sure if the numbness still affects the kicks.

nah I feel kicks all the time where my numbness is. It's just the skin thats numb, your muscle wall has nerve endings too.

Also, for any ladies who are interested...

I know my muscle walls have nerve endings. I was just unsure. If you're not on the ourside aren't you usually numb on the inside as well. I didn't know about c section numbness. No one told me I might have this and I never put two and two together.

No one told me either. In fact my OB didn't even tell me how normal it is, so I thought I was just weird when I mentioned it and she said "oh it's normal." then dropped it.
