I personally wouldn't worry about sheets. I'd just wrap a blanket around the mattress pad. If you're that worried. Try getting crib sheets and just tuck the extra under or use a baby saftey pin and pin up extra fabric. The baby wont get to it and isn't strong enought to open the clasp. I can barely open saftey pins! haha

If you go to any store that sells infant items they have the sheets listed. They should say bassinet sheets and crib sheets.

thats a good idea about just getting crib sheets, because when he moves into a crib i'll already have them.

Yep. Crib sheets also fit onto toddler bed matresses. So you'll be set for a few years. I'd by TONS of sheets though. At least 7. Once they get older their diapers can leak and it sucks when you run out of clean sheets.

My newborn is gonna sleep in my first borns pac n play...it has a bassinet part you put inside. My first born lived in his the first few months of his life. Gotta love those versatile pac n plays! haha

yeah i put one of those on my registry too, but im getting a really nice co sleeper for cheap off craigslist and i'll be breastfeeding so i figure it will be easier. the woman selling it to me said they usually move out of it after 6 months but she kept her last one in there for 15 months and he loved it. idk...we'll see. alright im off to look at sheets on toysrus.com lol

I don't know about using a bassinet that long. I don't know what it looks like though. Once they can roll over you're supposed to move them into something deeper like a crib.

I deffinately wouldn't put a 15 month old in something with low sides. I'm gonna breastfeed too and that's why he's gonna sleep in the pac n play. It'd be easier to pick him up, pop him on, then lay there and relax.

idk. if you google arms reach wooden co sleeper then a bunch of info comes up. it also converts into a seat meant for reading in, and one side comes down, the mattress' height is adjustable for the height of your bed, and it has straps that go under your matress and hook onto the other side of your bed. its basically meant to be able to co sleep but not have your baby in your actual bed

That is so nifty. It's just an add on to your bed. I'd buy one but the hubbs has to get his rest. My butt will be on the couch for the first few months. Luckily our couch is AWESOME! Plus with Gage I need the newborn on the otehr side of the house so I'm not up with two kids all night.

haha I volunteered. He didn't kick me out. He told me to just use our baby monitor but I wanna sleep next to him like I did with Gage.

what kind of baby monitor do you have? i put a digital one that vibrates whenever the baby makes noise in case youre avcumming or theres loud music on. lol idk...i didnt even realize it did that until i was looking at my registry online and it explained in more detail.

I don't know the brand but it's just a plain jane monitor. It worked great. It was like 20 bucks. I don't listen to music or anything too loudly. Plus the vacuum is only run for a few minutes and when I was done I just went int and checked on him. I didn't feel the need to go all out on a monitor plus we didnt ahve the money really.

You learn so many nifty tricks once the baby is born and you usually learn them by yourself. Like a square laundry basket (lined with blankest of course) makes a great semi permenent bassinet that you can easily carry around with you.

thats awesome. luckily we live in a very small cheap one bedroom apartment right now. that was my cousins reasoning for me getting a digital monitor, so that it wouldnt interfere with anyone elses if they had one. our apartment is so small that he will probably stay in the pack n play all day and i'll be able to watch him in the kitchen, bathroom or the living room
