Can you only have a natural waterbirth? or can you have an epidural with a waterbirth?

am not positive but i don;t think so... that is why they give you the cath with an epi... cuz you can't feel your legs to walk

lol defeats the purpous of a water birth IMO, the water is suppose to be very relaxing for natural child birthing. And probably not since you'll be numb you wouldn't be able to move a lot.

You can only have a water birth naturally.

With an epi you are pretty much limited to the bed.

maybe narcotic pain relief to take the edge off? I lovvved my stuff, but it made me very drowsy

yepp once i had the epi with my first i wasnt even allowed out of the hospital bed.

this time i am going natural for the water birth  

okay i was just reading on waterbirths & it sounded like something i would be interested in. but im terrified of labor pain sincve i had en epi with my son im afraid i couldnt handle it.

i would love to have a water birth. my hospital didn't do it; but i am definitely going to try and find somewhere that will for my next one.
