fears

posted 6th Nov
my little girl will be here in 8 weeks and i couldn't be more excited. that being said, there's a huge part of me that feels like something will be wrong with her or go wrong during the delivery and i'll lose her. sometimes i feel like that's what will happen because it would be god's way of telling me that i'm not ready to be a mom yet. i felt like this at the beginning too during the period of time where you're most likely to miscarry. i wish i could stop thinking like this but it's always in the back of my mind. anyone else have any fears like this now or when you were pregnant?

Exactly. I am always still going in to check on him in the crib to make sure he is still breathing. He will be 8 months next week.

I just like that during pregnancy.
Then my lo's were born and I obsessed about other things hurting them.
It never ends
Good luck with L&D

I felt like that with my second pregnancy. I kept thinking that something would go wrong with the labor and I would have to have a C section! My biggest fear in pregnancy. Dont get to nervous, being a young mom is nothing to be "punished" for!

My daughter is 17 months old.
And at the moment I'm really sick. last night I had an image in my head that I would wake up to her dead this morning from getting really sick over night. and it would have been my fault. ...
It never gets easier. you will ALWAYS worry about your child.

i was like that...i was terrified that i would miscarry...then i was terrified id lose him during the delievery....the only thing that happened was the cord around his neck (very common from what im told) and the nurse being an idiot and not checking me when i told her i couldnt stop pushing...lol she tried to tell me i was6cm crushing his head and making his heart stop cause the monitor couldnt detect his heartbeat during contractions....he was actually crowning and was borncompletely alert looking around no problems at all...lol didnt cry til they started cleaning him up though....now hes almost 4 months and healthy as could be!

thanks! i'm counting down the days. at least once she's here i'll be able to protect her from most things unlike now where i can only protect her from so much health-wise.

I was the same way, i heard about mommas losing their LO's at 38-40 wks and I got so scared. If i didn't feel Mya move I would shake or poke my belly lightly just so I can get some movement. Now that she's going on 4 months I still have worries like SID's and all that other crap. I'm constantly checking my baby's forehead for a temp, when she's sleeping I check to make sure she's breathing. I'm just a worry wart. But I know she is perfectly healthy.
