i called my nurse they told me to use polysporin.. i put it on really thick and it worked.. the polysporin promotes fast healing..

When mine had that kind of rash (ended up being a yeast infection) the doc. just called something in for me, so I didn't have to take him in.

My mom's coworker reccomended using hoof cream...
Apparently it works wonders on diaper rash. I just know the cream is insanely too thick. By the time I get the stuff out of the tube, my daughter's already rolled over & peed in her bed

They should at least be using the A&D ointment, until they can get him to the doctor.

My son has gotten horrible rashes since he was just a newborn, like to the point where he'd have little bloody spots. The best thing that I've found for it is the lansinoh nipple cream, itcleared up one of his rashes within a day when no other diaper rash ointment even helped. If you have some of that on hand I'd try it and if it doesn't help at all then definitely take your LO to the doctor.

If it is speckled around the edges, it's probably a yeast infection. In that case, some anti-fungal foot cream would clear it up. Ly had that around 6 months and was SO uncomfortable! It was miserable :s

i would call the doc and ask the what to do. they may be able to give advice over the phone. the fact that there are blisters is what i find concerning -- you don't want him to get an infection.

my daughter had a bad one that wasn't responding to regular diaper creams, or lotrimin. we deduced it was from her eczema. we did an aveeno oatmeal bath for a few nights, slathered on aquaphor and sprinkled cornstarch baby powder at every diaper change -- go figure, that's what cleared it up (no chemicals) but it took us two weeks of trial and error to figure it out. The ped will be able to diagnose what it is and prescribe the right treatment.
