re: What diapers do you use?

We use Pampers Swaddlers for C. It's the best on pee....huggies leaked TERRIBLY in the middle of the night. I was rocking him and next thing I know, I had a warm wet spot on my shirt.....Pampers aren't as good for poo though. They tend to gap in the back and C's poop always creeps up the back and gets on his shirts if he's sitting when he poops. But if he's laying down it's fine. Huggies tend to grip to the back better though, so for poop-Huggies, pee-Swaddlers....

I haven't tried Pampers Cruisers yet but the next set I buy will be a size 3 and I don't think they make swaddlers in that size.

Cruisers are actually better than swaddlers. Try them! I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

We used the pampers swaddlers with Mason until he got too big then we went with the huggies we got at my baby shower.....I hated those because they leaked. We changed to luvs and have used them ever since. I like luvs.

Well, that's good to know.....I tried some of the Baby Dry pampers and I just didn't like the way there were in comparison with the swaddlers....I also think it might be a mental thing that it means my baby is growing up because he's too big for swaddlers. I'm a mess lol.

We only were able to use huggies and huggies over night. All the other diapers leaked. Pampers, Luvs, Parents Choice ect.

Are you having a baby shower? If so, a good way to hopefully get a good mix of diapers is have a diaper raffle! I just gave my SIL her baby shower and I had a diaper raffle.

What I did was in the invitation I put "Purchase a package of diapers, your choice of brand and size, and be entered to win a $25.00 gift card to a restaurant! " It ended up being a Gift card to the Olive Garden.

My SIL received 10 packs of diapers all different sizes and brands. She is able to try out what works best for her baby and she didn't have to spend any of her money to do so.

I heart Costco diapers!

In the last 7 months - We have gone through 2 large boxes of newborns and 3 large boxes of size 1-2 but we also cloth diaper part time - BumGenius 3.0 AIOs!!

I like Huggies Supreme. But they can get pricey. It works out to be 20 less diapers for the same price as regular huggies.

I would suggest getting a small pack of each kind. That way you can try them out and see for yourself.

Regular huggies I think fill up WAY too fast
Luvs leak
Pampers I'm werid but didn't like the material lol
Costco are just like huggies supreme but I feel like I can feel shes wet from the outside of the diaper.
I've heard great things about target diapers but havent tried them myself.

ALSO make sure to register on all the sites for coupons!!! Even if you are planning on BFing still sign up on the formula ones. You get some great stuff and if you dont need it then give it away!

Have you checked out prefolds/flats with covers? You can probably get started for around 100 bucks! I understand though, it can be a big start up cost.
