child support question.

Okay so I filed for Child support back in august, when my ex was still working.
he lost his job in september, but since then he's been taking kaleb mon-friday while im at work that way we dont have to pay a babysitter or daycare until he finds a job.

well its been 2 months and still no luck in finding a job. idk how hard he's trying or if he even is. frankly IDC as long as he's still helping out in this way.. im fine w/ it.

but our child support hearing is in december.
we were pretty rocky for a while and fighting alot.
but recently we've worked out our differences and are able to get along fairly well and its working out good w/ him having kaleb, ect. ive talked to him about my goals for kaleb ect and he agree's with it and we're now working together as far as dicipline. learning, ect with him.. im glad to say its working out great.

so right now.. i dont NEED child support nor do i want it.
but once he DOES find a job.. i will. because then kaleb will be in daycare and we'll be back to every other weekend visits, so ill have kaleb all the time basicallyand id just like the CS to be through the court because that makes it easier.

is there anyway to set up the CS so that he doesn't have to pay until he's wokring? i know some ppl have told me b/c he isn't working they'll base it off his last income.. OR off min. wage job.. and he'll still have to pay.
but it seems silly if we pretty much are doing things 50/50 at the moment and its working out... for him to pay me money. i dont want that. i DO want it when he starts working but idk when that will be.. he's apparently having a hard time finding a job.


is there anyway to do that? like... not start the CS until he finds a job??

i know in oh once its filed its filed....even w/o a job theyd have to pay 50 dollars a month in ohio and mail it in and itd get mailed to you.

Is your child on Medicaid, or are you on any other assistance?
Because they will make you get child support as long as you are.
But if not I am sure you guys could sign a paper in front of the judge saying that as long as he is helping out and until he gets a job he isnt required to pay child support.
I am not %100 on that, but sometimes people come to agreements out of court and just tell the judge and it can work.

yes he is on medicaid.

but when he does start work i DO want it.
because the whole reason i filed was because i have having a hard time getting him to help me pay daycare costs when he was working. i ended up paying it myself alot of the time so i said fuck it and filed.. then he loses his job. =/
so idk i guess ill just see what happens at the hearing.

if your gonna want it then u might as well get the 50 dollars now bc ohio is so backed up i filed in feb didnt recieve until aug. and our hearing was in may. All you do at the hearing is sit down with a case worker and ur pay stubs and daycare recipts...she tells u in 30 in days what he has to pay, and then u can appeal that but it takes like 6 months toget to a judge if an appeal is filed.

well idk if he'll even be able to pay 50 dollars lol.
if he does it'd just end up going back to his house anyways b/c then i'd have to buy diapers and milk for kaleb to have over there.
but i guess we'll just do it that way if we have to and maybe it'll get his ass in gear to get a job. i mean idc if he has a job or not b/c he's still helping out alot but i know his mom is sick of him not helping her out lol.

i had an ex who was ordered to pay the 50 dollars( to his ex) he let it go....late fees added on and everything and after like 2 yrs...they took his license....and he had to pay like 1600 to get it back.
If he worked at all this yr...ull get his tax return if its in the system by then....]child support is a tricky thing...i get like 82.20 a week....i get direct deposit...its kinda nice tho...
