Blood type of lo?

Well im not sure what Isaacs blood type is , i read another post and it poped up in my head

I guesstimate that hes O+
Me and my hubs are both O+

so does that mean that Isaac and all our futurekids will be O+ too?

they can be O- too

i wouldn't guesstimate if i were you... i'm A+... my mom is 0+ and my dad is A-

IDK how it works, honestly.

I'm A+, my Mom is A+, but my dad is O+.
My SIL is A+, and both of her kids are A+, but her husband is B+.

So, I'm not sure the formula for deciding.

I'd like to know what my kids blood type is (well, I know my sons) but the other two I dont have a flippin' clue.

anyone else have a partner with the same blood type and know there kids ?

If she and her husband are both O then they only have the genetic alleles for being O (so they have oo genes). O is a recessive gene so the only way to have it is to get an O gene from both parents. So therefore, her kids can only be O type blood. (there is no A or B genes to pass on). However, the positive gene is dominant, so her and her husband can be either ++ or +-. If they each pass on a positive, the baby will be +, if one passes on a positive and the other passes a negative, the baby will still be positive, however, it is possible for them each to pass on their recessive negative gene (if they have them) and therefore the baby will be O-.

I asked my doc what Addy's was and she said they never check it anymore at the hospital unless you are negative...to see if the baby is negative too...something like that.

The only reason I know mine is because of my pregnancy and Cams because he donates blood all the time and his blood is one of the rarest. Which is why we can't seem to find a damn kidney for my BIL.

really? they blood type tested my son and I'm positive.

Yea, the girls doctors said the same thing. Tim and I both have B+ but Chris doesnt know what his is (dammit) so I couldnt even kind of guess what the girls would have.
I'm so sorry to hear that about your BIL. My friends husband is also in the process of trying to get a kidney with no luck

Thanks. We thought Cam was going to be a match and when they went to test him, they found out that out of so many markers, Cam missed by one due to the anti-rejection drugs my BIL took after his last kidney transplant. He has been in-and-out of the hospital the last two weeks because the fistula (tube in his arm for his dialysis) keeps creating blood clots. We kept thinking we would have plenty of time - he could be on dialysis until then, but it seems like it just keeps getting worse.

Before I knew about my friends husband, I thought kidney matches would be fairly simple but man oh man that so is just not the case.

Well everyone, to me atleast, made it sound like since Cam matched on blood type, we were good to go. So we planned for it and everyone stopped looking for a kidney (he was still on the list, but that takes years) and then they tell us that it was ONE factor. Cam feels like its his fault if his brother dies before getting a kidney and I'm trying to explain to him that he has nothing to do with his own body and the cells it produces.
