breastfeeding & cramping

im like cramping up soo bad right now the nurse said its from breastfeeding anyone else having this problem???  

I was in the hospital! It felt even worse than period cramps. I kept telling Frank, "They sewed up a tool in there, I just know it!"  

omg it really does feel like that!! im crying over here lol

its a natural way of dialation, which is causing the cramps

I was cramping up so bad the one day that I coulsdn't stand up .. My mom took me out of the shower and dressed me ready to take me to the ER .. I was throwing up and everything .. I'm shocked that I still continued to breastfeed .. LOL

OH YES! I didn't have them with Madison and with Brooklyn it was like being in labor all over again. They got better during the first week.

It was like labor all over again .. I even felt an urge to push .. WEIRD!

i think its ur uterus contracting

I didn't have them at all with my son....but when I started nursing my daughter in the hospital I was having the worst cramps ever. I swore I was in labor all over again. One of the nurses finally told me that it happens with subsequent kids. For some reason that I do not know when your uterus is contracting it hurts a lot worse in 2nd 3rd and so on babies. She said something about it contracting back to its original size hurts more and more the more babies you have. And since breastfeeding makes your uterus contract that's why it hurts so much. Hope that helped.

the cramping is actually ur uterus contracting. its really good for u (tho it kills!!). it will really really help with the bleeding. and my doc made me do it right after addy was born b/c i was hemmoraging and nothing was working...but her nursing prolly saved my life.

That's exactly what it is .. And breastfeeding makes you contract a million times faster ..

When I was breastfeeding in the hospital that happened to me. It felt like I was going into labor all over again lol. I think its just your uterus contracting.
