I think it will bring up the lack of mental health care more than anything, he was alreadyknown to have problems. I just pray he gets every ounce of punsihment that he deserves. Never in my life did I think I would be thankful my husband is in Iraq!

Eh, I don't think military mental health care is to blame, they cant predict violent outbursts, obviously he was smart so he could probably lie about it.

I've had top notch care for my PTSD and they offer care like everywhere you turn.

I have a friend who's at Fort Hood. 

Had to call and make sure he was okay(he is). They were on lockdown and he said it happened a few streets away from him.

troops are the most sensitive and the most ignored

some marines wife offed herself this summer...in base housing...the house had new people in it as soon as the carpet was replaced

Yeah you would never think to hear an army wife say that but i bet hundreds are right now, Jon finally fell asleep   Poor guy they gave him the day off tomorrow too, He needs it thoughaftereverything today.

If only the guys in the units were more supportive and not quick to give the others hell, it would be easier for them to get help. I know of a few guys that have PTSD and they won't say anything because they don't want to get shit and they are afraid it will hurt their chances of moving up in rank.

that is their own fault and completely silly to think like that. receiving care is just like going to the doctor, its 100% confidential and it does not effect your record or promotions at all.

Men and women acting like they have balls of steel is what leads to deadly choices for either themselves of loved ones...
