Apparently she is going to be on Good Morning America tomorrow to tell her story.

I know what happned to her and I know it was a very terrible thing. And Im sorry she went through it.

Had that been said....Does anyone else feel like the media acts like she is the first person to EVER go through this? Like they keep going on and on about it?

I mean, I know its important to have women more aware of their situation, I just feel like this situation has realy been exploited.

And they do that everytime a celebrity goes through something.

It is becoming played out very quickly. Even tho the media still sees her as completely innocent when some report she began to strike him first.
I've seen domestic violence first hand, but I don't consider fighting each other domestic violence. Fight each other is wrong, butif you're both attacking each other no one is really a victim. In my opinion, that is.

I think it is bull. A celebrity gets beat up and it's big news.
A regular old citizen gets abused everyday and no one cares.

I agree. I think they need to let it go already chris brown went to court and has been punished. He also did a public apology. Not saying that makes it right but this happened every day and you don't hear about.

I agree, I think if you hit first, they have every right to hit back...male or female.

haha as we speak, my husband is making a youtube video about how disgusted he is that the media is covering Rihanna more than actual events going on.

Exactly. It becomes self-defense.
They teach you way back in pre-school to keep your hands to yourself for a reason, I don't know why people keep forgetting that.

If I decked my husband in the face, I would expect it right back ( not that he would) and I would not be crying victim. Of course there is always a libe to be crossed.

Alot of women start a fight, but then want to cry domestic abuse when the other person responds. Hell,if I haul off and bust SO's nose, I'm gonna expect him to do something back to me.Being a woman isn't a free pass to beat on your man.

WRONG. Legally its not self defense at all. You are only allowed to defend yourself physically as necessary. Meaning if someone hits you, and you have the ability to walk away from them, then you have no legal right to hit them back. And you certainly have no right to beat the shit out of someone just because they struck you.

And second of all, were you there? Do you know for a fact if she hit him first or are you just repeating another piece of gossip? A court of law convicted him so quit blaming the VICTIM for what her abuser did.
