not true in high school my ex slammed me into a door slapped me across the face chased me and when i ran outhside and up the stairs to another enterance grabbed my face and pulled me back down..he got assult and battery which was rediced to disordly conduct

i turely don't think it's being outplayed or anything i mean yes its talked about alot but I take it as the media is telling people men woman and children in abusive relationships "look this is not right this celeb is speaking out and turned in the attacker so you can to." I think that her speaking about it could impower some people to come forward and say their stories and help themselves as well..i mean nobody really knows what happened did she hit him first? was it an arguement gone wrong or what? but he was in the wrong and she might have been too we don't know. all that matters is she is not being hurt anymore instead of fighting with eachother about her issue we should take this as a chance to help other people in abusive relationships get out of them and learn how to protect themselves.

My ex was slapped by his BM once, he hit her back while she was pregnant. A women is not going to cause much harm, especially a pregnant women, and she slapped him from reaction. She could of lost the baby that day.

My ex's excuse? If anyone slaps me, I'm going to hit them back.

A female slap (even some female punches)vs a guy punch, are two different things. What were Chris' injuries? She didn't have that much intent to hurt him that badly, HE did, thats the difference.Though both were cases of quick tempers, HE TOOK IT TOO FAR.He should of been a MAN and not hit back.

If you get into a chick fight, even though you started it, someone who bites you, is taking it too far. Look at Derrion Albert...a fight taken too far, someone who didn't have ANY SELF CONTROL.

Chris didn't have self-control. Thats why HE IS IN THE WRONG. Forget domestic violence, he was wrong point blank period. And yes Rihanna started it, but she did not deserve what Chris did to her. Because a person starts a fight, does that mean the other person is right to beat the shit out of them, and get away with 'well s/he started it, she got what s/he deserved'??!!

Hitting back makes youno better than the person who hit you first, thats why they suspend both kids in the fight, no matter who started it, if YOU get involve then you're just as gulity. Yes, there's defending yourself, but I doubt it Chris was 'defending himself',he got his macho-ness hurt, and he lost it,PERIOD.

I won't say that you can 100% control your temper all the time. However there is a difference between a slap or a threatening gesture and beating the crap out of someone.

Mine was a threatening gesture and man it PISSED off my husband that I made it like we didn't speak for two days he was soooo pissed at me, BUT he didn't retaliate.

He's punched a hole in the wall Right next to me. Same thing scared the piss out of me Made me angry, but I never ever retaliated.

That I think is a HUGE difference b/w a fight gone wrong and Domestic Abuse.

You can react in anger.

And you can beat the shit out of someone.

There is a line. Knee jerk and repeated blows to someone you 'love'

My point is even if she did hit him, he lost control and someone who looses control like that needs counciling and punishment.

The only reason that she is doing all this media interviews is because she has an album coming out and needs publicity. I dont like either of them and dont feel bad for them. They were both arguing and hitting, it shouldn't have gone as far as it did but it did and I think they are both at fault.
