what paint?

so im going to pick out some paint tomorrow for the crib. is there a certain type i should be looking for? ive had like 3 people tell me i need to make sure i get the "right type so that its safe" but no one said what that was?

Why are you painting the crib? Home Depot or Lowe's will tell you what type is okay, but don't know why you are painting it.

its an old crib. my ex's mother gave it to me and it needs repainted.
