So my friend is about 40 weeks pregnant and is still not yet dialated. She is in serious pain and wants this baby out of her! She's thinking about using Castor Oil to help induce labor. I was just wondering if any of you BG mamas used castor oil and if it worked or not?

Its definitely not recommended. I would have her research it first..or talk to her OB.
Shes already made it to 40 weeks..she doesn't have much longer.

I used it quite a bit and it did nothing. I didn't even get to poop.

She shouldn't use it. It could really hurt the baby. IMO thats a risk I wouldnt take it. I went 5 days overdue with my daughter and I was only dilated to a 1 at 40 weeks.

i was told that castor oil won't make you go into labor, it'll just speed it up once you are already in labor.

Tell her not to. It can make the baby have a bowel movement inside of her and it could really hurt the baby.
