sex & working out PP (lil tmi)

I'm 12 days PP today, I've pretty much stopped bleeding already, just have some discharge & a little old blood, i still have to wear a pad though cause sometimes the discharge is too much for a panty liner....
anyway, i'm curious... how soon can i get on b/c & have sex?? I know they say to wait 5-6 weeks, but have any of you done it sooner? I didn't tear at all & i'm not sore or anything like that anymore...... but i don't want to mess up anything..... I was going to wait until i'm completely done "draining" down there...... but i'm just curious what others have done.....

also, I'm REALLY looking forward to working out again..... I use to work out constantly a 2 years ago, and then i quit smoking, gained a bunch of weight was 105lbs went up to 135-149lbs & than got pregnant & now that my lungs have cleared & baby is out, i'm ready to get back at it! my body is driving me nuts & i know i must wait but i'm curious how soon you started working out again PP!?

it WILL hurt when u have sex. hurts like a bitch. I had sex 2 weeks PP and i wasnt sore at all but then we had sex and i almost puked it hurt so bad-just an FYI. i strongly suggest waiting a little longer so your body can heal a little more!!

12 days pp is WAY to early to have sex and work out! Your body hasnt had time to heal properly yet, and if you do it can hurt like hell, and could possibly cause some even more problems! you can get on b/c at ur 6 week pp checkup. i had sex at about 5 weeks pp with first baby and it hurt like a bitch second child waiting about 8 weeks and it still hurt like a bitch so either way, and i had c sections both times...so its not just vaginal births it hurts!

6 weeks is a guideline because your uterus is still swollen and your cervix is still open.

I started dieting at birth working out at 6 wks pp.

thanks i will!! i was hoping i would completely stop bleeding & then try after i haven't bled at all for at least a week or so..... my poor husband though..... he's been suffereing... cause i keep falling asleep whenever i say i'll take care of him

I wasn't planning to do it anytime real soon... i was thinking like 4-5 weeks PP...... but i might wait longer, i waited 6 weeks after i had our son, and i didn't have any problems with it hurting..... and i tore a little w/ him too........

LMA!!! yeah, i'm sure he has!! cause we stopped having sex a couple weeks before i had her too.... so it's been a while!!! but he likes what i can do a lot better... haha.....

Hey now I thought you said that you had tried sex to induce labor and it didn't work - hmmm...? Haha either way - poor guy if my bf goes like 2 days w/o he gets cranky lol.

Everyone's bodies are diff! I only waited like a week, after i stopped bleeding before we had sex....didnt hurt me.... But i would deff wait the 6 weeks to exercise!

I waited 11 days to have sex. Everyone told me it was too early and I was dumb but it didn't hurt at all and I quite enjoyed it!
I'm 5 weeks PP and have not started working out (besides running after my 3 y.o.) but that's mostly because I don't have time. I'm determined to start going to the gym in a week though!

Hah - IMO I think she should try it just bc of what you said - I mean shoot - if it hurts she can stop lol and at least it will have answered her question!! LOL

lol yea i know how chasin after a 3 year old is lol....i lost my weight just by BF and probably eating like once or twice a day if i was lucky....that and cleaning all the time! I lost all my weight just need to get rid of alil baby goo! Wish i could get rid of my stretch marks! lol

yeah, i think that was when i was in my 39th week..... i went to 41 & 4 days & we didn't have sex for about 2 weeks before i had her..... maybe it was less than that & just seemed lnger!! hehe!

Yeah..... i like to keep my man happy..... but i've just been too tired at night....
