5cm and no labor?!

Had an OB appointment this morning... when he did the cervical exam he said I'm at 5 cm and I'm 60-70% effaced. How the hell can I be THAT dilated and still not in labor?! I thought 3 was a lot last week... but 5 is totally insane!

im jealous, im only 1 cm dilated and due on saturday. good luck mama.

my friend was at 4-5 cm for 3 weeks before they induced her lol.

I was at 5 cm 80% at 37/2. 5 cm 100% at 38/2. 6 cm 100% at 39/2 and still went all the way to my DD.

I think thats crazy!

That doesn't give me much hope! Lol. Last friday I was only at 1 cm. I get checked again tomorrow, but I've given up hope of him coming. lol

Lucky I couldn't even get past 5 cenimeters when I had help from Pitocin and had my water broke an everything .

I honestly didn't think it was possible to dilate this far before starting labor! Now I'm afraid labor will be so fast I won't make it to the hospital in time...

I was 5cm 100% effaced at 37 weeks, had my membranes stripped twice and still couldn't go into labor on my own

it seems kinda weird... maybe I'll just go walking for now and see what happens until DH gets back.
AAGH these painless contractions are so annoying. I wonder if it's the real thing... I'm only feeling the peak of each one though.
