This is not the first case of Ft. Hoods soldier VS soldier murders. Other posts's have been experiencing increasing rates of soldier vs soldier, soldier vs family, soldier vs civi murders and violence.
I do realize there are alarming rates of violence outside the gates. But what do you think causes the rising rates ON post? (or base, whatever branch doesn't matter) Do you think its inadaquate mental health care? Over worked under paid? Seperation, power struggle/hazing/abuse of power, deployments/war, the type of people who enlist, or simpley the way of the world these days?
D&D, respectfully please.

Honestly I think most cases have to do with inadequate mental health care. The military wants to keep everything hush hush like there isnt a problem.

The news is saying now that there were execution style murders. That it was thought out and planned. That rules out PTSD

From having alot of friends who are in the military and have gone overseas...i pesonally believe they are letting people join the military who aren't mentally stable enough to deal with the stress and anxiety of being an active soldier. Right now, the military is taking ANYONE who signs up. I have a friend who says he has, first hand, seen COs & recuriters "turn a blind eye" to soldiers who have attempted suicide, suffer from PTSD and manic depression.
They are also deploying people 2 and 3 times without reevaluating them for mentally trauma.
It's very sad. A good friend of mine found out he was about to be deployed for the 3rd time, (with severe PTSD) and he tried to get out and the army shrink wouldnt approve him for HDOs....so he up and left with his wife and kids in the middle of the night and had been AWOL for almost 2 months now. They should have civilians (who don't have a militray agenda) checking these guys out.
ETA---IDK about today, i havent heard much about it. This is just my opinion in general

Im not talking about just this case I am talking about the rise of the violence. I am also not asking about the "reason" these guys are going to give. I am talking about what cause drives any of these men to commit acts like this.

no they aren't just taking anyone right now, they are over staffed and dont need people. they are turning more people away
