Having a drink after c-section.

I had a c-section 16 days ago. I am not breastfeeding and I am off the pain meds. I would like to have probably one beer tonight at home. I haven't been able to find a concrete answer on whether or not this is okay. Reason I thought it might not be is because alcohol is a blood thinner and I didn't know if it could affect my incision.

Anybody have a quiet drink a couple weeks after a c-section? Thanks.

I had a drink one week out from my c-section.

I was breastfeeding and my lac nurse suggested it to me. So I had a nice glass of Malvasia!

I say you deserve a beer and it's not going to hurt you

I had a drink 5 days after my daughter was born . She was a c-sectionand I was perfectly fine. I did notice an increase in my PP bleeding but nothing else

i had a drink about 5 weeks after my c-section and only because i was breastfeeding up until i got a horrible infection in my uterus and the medicine took my supply away and it never came back 

it didnt do anything to me...i know it was a while after but i would think after 16 days you incision is scabbed enough for it to not matter

Same. my midwife actually suggested having a dark beer at night to increase my milk supply.. i had beer and wine about a week after, no problems. But i'll warn you i had like 1 good sized glass of wine and i was tipsy lol

My friend has a C section and she got drunk a week after getting out of the hospital
and had sex 3 weeks getting out of the hospital and shes fine
