Does it still count?

At my 12 week scan my sac was empty, there was never a baby only where she should have been.

Can I still say I lost my baby when they were never there? Does it still count as a loss? A fewhave said it doesn't, I shoundnt grieve what Was never there..

I feel like I have lost a baby and my hearts broken.

I'm sorry, it's a loss, I would hate to know there wasn't baby when I thought there was..

Go with whatever YOU are feeling. Don't let other people tell you how to feel. At some point an egg was fertilized, so there was something there. I'm sorry for your loss  

Not sure if you could grieve for a lost baby but yu can grieve for what could have been. IDK though : 

Technically there never was a baby, but there was to you, so I would say do what you need to do. If you feel the need to grieve, I see nothing wrong with that.

It is still a loss. Your baby just stopped growing. No matter what, it WOULD have grown into a baby, YOUR baby. So yes. Don't let others tell you you can't grieve, you are a mother who just lost her baby, go ahead and grieve.
