Wow! I had the Mirena first in 07 but they put it in while I was pregnant and I didnt know it they didnt do a pregnancy test. I got a really bad infection from it and so did my son he was born at 21 weeks...I didnt find out until I was 29 weeks and I would get a cramp that would make me double over and then I would GUSH blood to where I would leave puddles on the floor..Sorry TMI! And my doctor talked me into getting it again and now Im a pain in the same spot as before but not nearly as bad and then I started bleeding just a little and Im not pregnant...so Idk what to do...

for those of you that have it did ya pay for it or did your insurance cover it? I have med-pass but I called some gyn and the said that medicaid doesn't cover it but then my friend had call medicaid and they said that they pay for the parguard but not for the mirena..

My insurance covered it. Only cost me $25 dollars for 10 years of BC. Makes it the cheapest BC by far for me!

I have medicaid and they would have paid either way. Paragard or mirena.
