Ugh Cavities!

So i havent been to the dentist in 4-5 years! I know i have a couple cavities maybe 4 or 5 blah i love candy. I take care of my teeth brush and floss and mouthwash always. I get lots of compliments on my teeth so i know they "look" ok lmao but they hurt like hell!!! I cant afford to go to a dentist so im looking for someone who does a sliding scale. Just wondering can you lose your teeth from not taking care of these cavities? Ugh id die if they pulled my teeth out

Yep. I had a cavaity. I didnt go. Guess what happened Tuesday? I had two rootcanals and they hurt so bad its not funny.

you can lose teeth from cavities but that usually only happens if the whole tooth is literally decayed all the way through to the point of no saving it. otherwise they will probably just drill and fill.

Yeah if its unfixable they will just pull it. But if its just bad they do a root canal

Yea they were filled when i was a teen but it needs to be refilled ASAP hopefully i can make an appt in time

I haven't been in that long either and I'm getting a cavity. It doesn't hurt too bad yet, but I know it'll only get worse. It's going to continue to get really bad if you don't get it taken care of, I think that's why people end up with root canals or getting teeth pulled. I'm going when we get our tax return, I don't want my teeth pulled either!

But what people dont realize is, if you dont get cleanings at least every 6 months, you will build up something called calculus, and it fuses to your teeth, and eats your bone.

If you get a significant amount of bone loss, then cavities are the least of your worries.. With bone loss you are at risk for periodontal disease, and losing your teeth.

You need to get in asap.
