Coping with time

I'm about to cry. I don't know why, but I am suddenly super-emotional about Chase turning 1. He is 11 months (as of yesterday) and its just so real now.... I don't know. I spent an hour last night looking at newborn pictures & his hospital bracelet, etc.... Ahhhh. Why am I crying over this?? I love him getting bigger & hitting all these milestones. Its just.... Its only been a year & soooooo much has changed! Any advice on how to get over this? I was fine before. I have no idea why its suddenly hitting me so hard!

First of all... He is SO handsome!!  

And I know how you feel... I was looking at my daughter's newborn pictures yesterday, and I too, cried. Its just the fact that they're growing up SOOOO quickly! I think its hard around this age (well, I know it is for us, our daughter is 17 months) because they are trying to be independent and I don't know about you, but it makes me sad, lol.

i cried not long ago over Brayce growing up.... i was watching the video of him when he was born and i cried... he is 8 months old now... where did my baby go.... dont worry momma, you will be ok.... just let it all out.... thats what i did... i cried then felt like a loser for crying... lol.... good luck

Isn't it crazy how much everything about them changes in the first few years? I mean, they are completely different people!!! It does make me sad too.

I think thats the only thing thats going to make me feel better. Because holding it in isn't helping. Everytime something reminds me of "newborn Chase" then this lump forms in the back of my throat. I honestly didn't think I'd be one of those moms that cried at her baby's birthday party. So far, NOT so good. Lol

Totally not ready for that yet. I would feel like I was stealing precious time from myself & my son. I want to enjoy his "baby" years without other distraction. But once he turns 2 or 3 we are ready to start TTC a baby brother for him

It went by too fast, didn't it? Such a huge milestone at the turn of a year... Now you have a toddler, & I'm right behind you. This year went by way too fast.
