Odd discussion on Deadbeat dads

posted 5th Nov
Now, before I say pose this question, I feel I must add a disclaimer because some BG ladies look for any little reason to start drama. I am not saying at all that I agree with this or that I believe the followingto be true. Please don't jump on me with drama, this is just to ask the opinions of others.

My SO and sister were talking the other day and they both said they believe a man is less likely to leave his baby momma if she bears a son as opposed to a daughter. Sounds stupid, I know. However, we have a mutual friend who has gotten like 3 or 4 girls pregnant and left them all just because he wanted a boy and they had girls instead. He is a total douche, which goes without saying. There was a topic on BG that I was reading where someone was saying that they noticed some guys would prefer to have boys and do not value their daughters as much. Granted, any decent man would care for his child unconditionally regardless of the gender, that is my stand-point on it; but I am curious if others have any input on this...

How about MILs? Mine is still bitter that I had two daughters instead of two sons. She still buys the girls boy clothes and toys. Grr....

Humm. Never heard of that but I guess anyone could be gender biased. My dad wanted boys and got 4 girls. He made us into tomboys and even though my mom always said they wished we were boys (hence he had 4 trying for a boy) he still treats us wonderful.

That friend would be disowned by me. I've never thought of this. However I really hope it doesn't exisit. This isn't China or Rome back in BC times. People need to grow the f up! It's the fathers that decide the sex anways so why leave your partner b/c you created a girl. Stupid!

Hmmmmm a deadbeat is a deadbeat regardless of the childs gender. But I don know more moms w/ dead beat BDs who have girls than boys. Majority of my friends who have good BDs have boys.

I believe it lol

Quoting ♥ #2 on the way!:“ what a strange woman. she really buys them boy stuff?”

Yes, last week she gave me some brown and green outfits with motor cycles all over them. It ticks me off that shes trying to make a point, but it does come in handy for when I have boy baby showers to go to

really? well at least she pays some kind of attention. My MIL acts like my daughter has a disease. She doesnt like me much so she acts like our daughter isnt her grandchild, i have 2 kids from previous relationships and she worse to them.

my sons father left before he was born... claims he wasnt ready to be a parent and was sscared.... deadbeat is his name... Brayce is 8 months old and he has seen him 6 or 7 times... whether they have girls or boys it doesnt matter, a deadbeat will always be a deadbeat... they come up with their own excuses as to why they left and make the girls look like the bad guys...

i'm a proud single mother doin the best i can...
