My mom's a nurse in ICU and she's pushing me hard to get it since she can give it to me herself. I think I will. She had a patient two weeks ago, 8 months pregnant with swine flu. She ended up with pnemonia and her lungs failed. They took the baby out and she died two days later. I felt so bad after hearing that.

Before she died, my mom kept giving me updates on her. She'd come home and I always asked how she was doing. It kept getting worse. By the end she had a breathing tube in because her lungs gave up, so they did a c-sec and pulled the plug a few days later. We found out at dinner on my b-day so it kinda sucked. The baby is doing good now tho.
But after that, I'm getting the shot. I don't wanna risk it, I have a habit of getting pnemonia, I've had it 9 times in my life so far.

Well, they have phased out a lot of the mercury in vaccines. There's still a small percentage in some.

yeah I got mine on Wednesday and I am fine, and baby's fine. I say the good outweighs the bad with it. It's too dangerous to risk actually getting H1N1 when you're pregnant. My dr. said 30% of pregnant women who get it will end up in the ICU. Just get it.. better to be safe than sorry, no matter what anyone says.

I got my shot on Wednesday, felt fine, and still do! I was worried at first, but the risk is just too high.... I couldn't help but think about my little girl who is 3 years old, not having a mommy... and that I could have prevented it!! Glad so many people here are getting the vaccine!

oh my thats so sad to hear about the woman. Good luck to everyone getting the shot or not!
