Quoting Help Ban Me!{EBFB}: So you aren't happy with the medela pump in style? I was just thinking that once my Lo is a year old, ... [snip!] ... again, maybe I won't pump at all once he turns one. I'll just EBF in the morning, after work and before bed until he weans.
Quoting J+D=3: $1500?!yes, you would think it could be more affordable since it's best for moms who EP or have low supply, which are both conditions that are a lot of work and can be discouraging.

Quoting J+D=3: thats crazy! here I was bitching about paying $100 for a pump.. I just got the $19 hand pump (since I didnt pump often)
Quoting glamisgirly4life: wow thank u!!! I bought one!!! For 20 bucks I guess you really can't expect much but I'll be so glad ... [snip!] ... ton on an expensive one!! It's not refurbished either or it would state that as the condition instead of brand new! I'm stoked!
Quoting *Waiting for Connor*: Is a pump really nessasary if you are a SAHM?

Quoting MamaBot {EBFB}: Well...I am happy with it, but it was used. Very. So it's kind of weak now. I still get 6 oz out, easy, ... [snip!] ... some extent. Really? Ugh. I don't think it's anti-feminist to be a SAHM, but then, that's probably because I am one right now.
Quoting J+D=3: so nature is anti-feminist? some ppl
Quoting MamaBot {EBFB}: They're looking at the whole thing from a perspective of not being able to be a breadwinner if you're ... [snip!] ... but I don't believe it's like an overachiever thing. I want to do this because, number one, my mother didn't do it for me.
Quoting J+D=3: exactly! I wish I still could.. and I was the only one of my siblings my mom BF, and it was only for 3 months.
Quoting MamaBot {EBFB}: I'm sorry you had problems with it. What happened exactly? It's come easily for us, other than it ... [snip!] ... it hurt) for the first week. There have been a few little hiccups with over-supply or under-supply, but we're going strong.

It's whiny, it's denotes science and at the end she'll miss the experience once it's over. Since when did nursing become a chore to be compared to vacuuming? Wouldn't it be easier to make phone calls while nursing (two hands free) than fixing a bottle and then having only one hand free while feeding? When was it announced that nursing is only good for nutrition anyway? If someone doesn't want to breastfeed, then don't, ya know. The problem for me is that nearly 80 percent of mothers WANT to BF and only half of those leave the hospital still breastfeeding. B y 6 months, only 11 percent are still breastfeeding. So what happened to all those mothers who wanted to? My guess is that some had no support, tons of false info or conflicting info. For the others, it was just too much work because of the lack of support of society and family. Those who quit because of pain, should have never been in pain. Nursing shouldn't even be painful. Don't even get me started on the amount of women who thought they didn't have enough milk!!!!
