He said it doesn't hurt when I push on it...but I have a couple of pictures here to give you an idea of what it looks like. The flash made it look a little less bad and lightened it up a lot but otherwise you can still tell.

My hubby thinks its pink eye.. I was thinking sinus infection but he's right, it does look like pink eye.

Id take him to the dr to confirm.

It was just so sudden. And I didn't think pink eye because it's both eyes, but I can see it now that someone has pointed it out to me. Can you run a fever with pink eye???

See, I thought it was pink eye-ish... but DH has never heard of a fever running with Pink Eye and neither have I?? And that's a pretty high fever!

Yeah it's not a low grade fever at all. However, I have heard of pink eye running hand in hand with other bodily infections. If he has anything else going on, I suppose there is no reason why he couldn't have contracted Pink Eye on top of it.

I hope he doesn't "share" it with the rest of the family... pink eye is hard to stop once it starts   DH used to get it constantly when he lived in the Barracks & he got it at Boot Camp twice... I've never had it, but it looks painful!!

I had it once last year...I started working with a lot of money because I'd been hired as a cashier at the casino. Money is filthy and no amount of hand washing can protect you. I ended up with a nasty bout of pink eye and like three or four styes over the course of the year. It was AWFUL. So, i know the pain he is going through.

I am sure you probably know by now but there is viral pinkeye(which is what he probably has because of the sudden onset0 and bacterial-which is usually from rubbing eyes with snot or other lovely secretions.I'd just take him to the docs, but if it is viral antibiotic ointments won't work-it'll just have to run it's course.Poor kid he looks miserable-hope he is better soon.

He is better today actually. By the time I got him to the doctor, the red in his eyes was completely gone. She said withuot being able to really get a look at it, she has no idea. But she said red eyes can be associated with a high fever and his fever was quite possibly higher than what was registering on my thermometer. Either way, he is himself again. I kept him home fro mschool today, too, to let him rest up the rest of the way, though.

Glad he is on the mend-I know I hate not knowing what is wrong with my kids when they get sick.
