well i got my infection 1 week after giving birth & i was in the hospital for a week afterwards getting IVs and such. they told me what happened, etc etc...

then i was laughing one day about a week after that, like literally LMAO, i had to run to the bathroom and pee before i pissed myself, and since i was laughing i guess i pushed hard & that came out. i called my OB and he said it was probably the piece of placenta that was left, bc it had broken down into pieces from the iv they gave me, & the other pieces i probably assumed were just clots.

It can't hurt to get it checked. My doc had just said that any large clots could be a sign that the uterus was still open a lot of bleeding. I don't know if I explained that right   My son nursed for almost 4 hours straight right after birth and it caused so many contractions that less then 8 hours after he was born my uterus was almost back to normal size!

I was told anything larger than an egg to come in. I'm with you I'd be freakin too! I never passed anything that big after having either of my boys! Def keep us updated cuz I'm curious!

Well I called my OB and they said the same thing as L&D... wait and if it happens again, call. It still worries me... I've been fine today and I'm not bleeding as much, but I still feel lightheaded.
I'll let you guys know. It would be nice to get checked out just to have peace of mind over the whole deal. Thank you guys for all the responses.
