I would Just be like..
He is not your biological father.
and If she asks about her biological father and is upset of why he didnt want her just say that sometime men are not ready for kids and sometimes their immature and that even though she doesnt have a daddy.
You can play both parts and that you love her unconditioally.

I feel horrible because her biological father wanted to be in her life. I was under so much pressure from my ex (he used to hit me and emotionally abuse me) that I just stopped talking to him.

I am married now (I have been for 5 years) and she calls my husband dad, so she has a father figure in her life.
