ppd sucks....

ugh i just feel so drained and worthless. i just have no motivation to do anything that i enjoyed before...i get anxiety doing things i used to love!!! i had a panic attack on an airplane a few weeks ago(I LOVE FLYING!!!) but for some reason it just freaked me out. i always feel like people are uspet or angry with me when they really aren't...i just ugh. i need to go see a doctor. do i go to my OB? or do i need a PCP?

Go to a doctor, tell them you have depression and they'll go from there

i was pretty much forced to call a hotline (because they will pay for my "therapy" since my insurance drops me in like a week) who did a 'screening' over the phone and set me up with a psych doc or whatever down the road... i haven't gone yet, first appt friday.

have either or pcp or ob/gyn refer you. either one can do it...

i'll have to cal my ob/gyn... i personally don't have a pcp...

I felt like that before I was pregnant. I always had mood swings, would freak out over nothing, and get so freaked out that I would shake and throw up. Since being pregnant I have been fine. I am kinda worried to see what will happen after I give birth. I would just see a DR they all know what needs to be done.

mine was for the state of nj specifically but i'm sure there is one for PA. i'm feeding him now but my SO should be home soon i can have him get the number. if anything you can call and ask if there is a number in your area they can give you.

that would be awesome. i'm off to google it now... lol

oh and it was a ppd hotline. the social worker at the clinic gave me like 4 brochures, she tried to get me to go for months. but since giving birth i had 2 screenings done and scored high for both so it was sent to someone with the state. basically for me it was 'call myself or have the state intervene'.... now i am glad i did i am just today able to admit i am ppd. and i havent even gone to my appt yet! im glad i didnt wait any longer....
