so, i just found out

that they are shutting down the ob unit in my hospital because of the flu,
which means that only the coach will be allowed with you when you deliver,
and you will not be allowed visitors your entire stay.

i know it's only because they're keeping everyone safe, and i'm not complaining.
i'm just kinda bummed.

Aww that sucks! Better safe than sorry though.

yeah, i know, it just sucks.
at least i'll get my LO all to myself.

its been like that here for 2 months, and is planned at LEAST through May  

I would be bummed, too. I'm blessed that my daughter was born 2 weeks before the hospitals changed their rules.

they don't know how long they're going to keep it like this, but i mean, the weather is just going to get nastier. so i doubt they're going to lift in in the next 7 weeks.

Omg that sucks!!!! I am planning on having my Mom and sisters in the room as well as my husband, I will be soooooooo bummed if I can't! : (

It does suck.
I just hate all the people who are complaining and bitching about the hospitals.
I mean, the hospitals are doing this for you and your child's safety...yes it sucks but its better than them not caring and letting everyone in.
Hopefully they lift it though.

Cheer up though. You'd probably get annoyed with all the visitors and everything because you'll want to sleep or spend all your time with your new baby.

i said i wasn't complaining, and that i was just bummed about it, i'd rather them have it closed than risk my son or any other childs safety.

yeah, and if anything i have a webcam on my laptop so everyone will still be able to see him.
