Problem

My daughter is 6 years old and has ADD. I am trying so hard to teach her to tie her shoes! She keeps getting frustrated because of her inability to focus. Does anyone have any tips as to what I can do to help her learn?

Has she been prescribed Adderal or Ritalin?

i'm waiting on my insurance to kick in which should be in about 2 weeks. she has already been diagnosed i just need to get the medication.

luckily i can get her to read...she loves it...that is the only thing i can get her to focus on. she is getting in trouble in school and everything. i wanted so bad to do the all natural approach but her case is too bad. she didn't respond to any of the all natural remedies. i hope the medicine will help her without zombifying her. it is so hard to watch her struggle

i know girl what you mean. my daughter is on her way getting kick out of school. All her dr want to do is kept giving her medicines, she is already on 2 diff kinda of medicines,but it aint help at all. so hopefully torroww her dr can do something for us. before i go crazy.

i know how you are feeling! i know it isn't her fault but i get sooo frustrated with her sometimes! somethings got to give and i hope that the medicine will be effective! i almost had to pick her up from school the other day for her behavior!

the day i almost had to go get her, they called me. they told me all she did and told me that they were gonna make her sit in the office til time to go home. that can't be good for her learning experience.
