Hypersensitive hoohah (11 days pp)

So the last couple of days I've noticed "down there" feels like my nerves are going crazy. Normal? Anyone had that?

While I'm posting: my lower stomach feels like I've done a thousand situps. Almost like ligament pain from pregnancy. It's a constant thing and this too is pretty much new this week. Anybody experienced this?

Last question: when did your flow start getting lighter (in color)? Mine started to in the hospital but it's been red since then and I didn't really have clots in the first days and now I do.

ps I'm bfing and had a vaginal birth

it took a bit for the nerve sensativity to stop bc i had a vaginal birth too but she also tore me to the "you know what" ... lol.. so it lasted about 8-12wks for me. at my 6week appt my doctor told me to have my husband massage the area bc it'd be more fun then me doing it myself and it would train the "area" to tone down on the sensitive nerves

As long as the clots are smaller than a plum (that's how it's been described to me although I kinda hate the food comparisons) then they are nothing to be concerned about. As for the pain... It's totally normal to be really sore down there for a while yet, the recovery time for me has been shorter with each delivery. I remember after my first feeling like I'd been hit by a truck down there for a long time. After the third one I felt almost normal within a couple of days. Totally depends on how difficult/easy the labour and delivery were, tearing etc.

I also tore (2nd degree) and I actually felt really good down there after the birth (well besides the feeling of having a bowling ball hanging out of your ass haha)until just a few days ago. Is it normal for the sensitivity to start after more than a week? And anyone had the ab pain?

I heard that the clotting is normal under that certain size too (they told me golf ball! no food haha) but I was just wondering about the fact that it wasn't that way to start... along with the fact it's still red... nobody ever talks about pp before you're there! this is so new to me

I think that the tingling now makes sense because the torn area is healing itself and the nerves are trying to repair themselves. It's like when you burn or cut your hand and start getting random tingling in the scar area after the cut has closed up. Make sense? I think I'd be a little more concerned about bright red blood at this point than the tingling. I'm pretty sure that mine has always started to darken up by this point.

It's not really tingling and it's all around down there (front by my clitoris too) and the skin in general down there... actually I think the stitched area isthe least sensitive. I've got a well baby with my midwife tomorrow so I'll mention my bleeding... the pads I have kinda suck everything away so it's hard to see exactly what color it is but when I wipe it seems pretty red yet... and in the hospital it had already started to turn more orangey. No opinions on the ab pain? It's right in the pelvic region so I wonder if it's my uterus and is related to my red flow? Hope not.

Did she tell you anything about it today?

oh sorry... we got to talking about other things but the ab pain is normal she said and the sensitivity seems to have gone down some.

pincklady you mentioned that yours darkened up. mine's dark red but I thought it was supposed to lighten progressively so maybe i'm just confused.

Yeah, in my experience the blood gets darker and darker and then goes brown like old blood and then goes away. Make sense?

yeah perfect sense i thought it was supposed to go red, orange, then yellow and then done. it is fairly dark i'm sure it's fine
