Is there anyone out there who is a surrogate mother? I have a few questions

I'm not yet but will be doing it in about 3 years. I have already contacted a local agency and had all my questions answered.

Wow, that's awesome! There was a member on here (can't find her for the life of me) who was a surrogate mother.
I mentioned the idea to my SO and he doesn't like it at all   but in a way I have been having this huge thought about it. I don't even know why.

my hubby is all for it! I think its because I have rather easy pregnancies and deliveries though and we would use the money as a house downpayment which is something he really wants to do lol

That's awesome. I had an easy pregnancy with my one and only child (hopefully another down the road) but I hated delivery. I know I would have the hardest time to go through a labor and give up the child I had such an attachment too but then again I'd be holding and caring someone's baby for them and I just get that butterfly feeling.. making someone else's dreams come true. jsdlkfjlksjd lol.

yeah thats how I feel too. I think I would be strong enough to do it as long as I kept in mind the whole pregnancy that I was growing someone else's baby. I can't imagine not being able to have kids of my own and my girls bring so much joy into my life that I think it would be an amazing gift to give someone else. I would definately just want to be a gestational surrogate though. I couldn't go through with it being my egg and my biological child. That would be too hard not to form an attachment to for me personally.

Same here. I couldn't let my own go like that. Plus, I couldn't do that to my SO. I don't know if I'd be able to handle labor though... that part sucked so much.

yeah my first labor was kinda crazy especially because its hard to know what to expect. My second labor was so much faster and easier and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I knew my body more and knew how I reacted to certain things.

I had the easiest pregnancy in the world. LOL...well, one of them. The only discomfort I had were extremely minor. Only got kicked in the ribs once and never felt a painful contraction until I was in actual labor.
I'm scared the second time around is going to be painful.

But my delivery sucked. No medication and ripped on the inside on my y'knows. It was the most pain I've ever felt.

yeah its funny how the same person can have completely different experiences with pregnancy and labor the second time around. Both of mine were pretty similar but I hear stories on here all the time about complete opposites.
