Quoting manda-mama:“ They didn't help AT ALL. The breathing techniques they taught me didn't work and when I got to the hospital ... [snip!] ... if I kept using that technique, I was going to pass out from hyperventilating!! The class was a huge waste of time for me..”the class i took taugh slow breathing techniques...and told us to NEVER do the fast ones like that....they taught us ways to ensure we were breathing at the right speed...and the noises to make to help release the tention and help you relax....i did great when people stayed out of the room....i could breath through them...soon as they started coming in and out i couldnt focus enough to continue...to many changes in energy....i was at a birth home also...they have AMAZING child birth classes
Quoting manda-mama:“ I eventually came up with my own slow breathing technique and that worked really well... I just can't believe a RN was teaching a technique that doesn't work!”yeah thats crazy....i loved having the midwives...i trusted them SOOO much more than the doctor i was with....the they had a lactation consultant there too and so my first night home when i completely freaked out cause my son was screaming and i couldnt get him to latch i had someone to call and help me through it at like 1 in the morning....lol
Quoting MamaBot {EBFB}:“ Didn't take the classes, but I read and read and watched videos and sought out information every day. ... [snip!] ... from a class. I had my baby at home, so I didn't need to have someone teach me about the epidural or how to breathe. jmo”i wanted a home birth so bad...but people wouldnt stay out so i could focus and i was terrified so i went to the hospital....
