Teachers

posted 4th Nov
My daughter's teacher seems like a bitch and I think she shouldn't be teaching at all. Blondie came home today crying saying that her teacher yelled at her because she didn't understand how to do the subtraction. I plan on going to the school and talking to the teacher and ask her why she thinks it's necessary to yell at a 6 year old who is trying to learn. It pisses me off how the lady thinks she has a right to talk to my daughter like that.

Yeah, someone I know just had to go to school bc the teacher yelled in the face of an "exceptional" child and threw his homework across the room bc he forgot to do the extra part, bc its not written in the directions (bc its extra) and he tends to forget things like that...

I don't know whats wrong with people anymore. I am seriously considering home schooling my bugs but I am worried bout the social aspects.

If it happens again after I talk to her teacher I'm asking if she can go to another teachers class. If not I'm going to put her in a different school.

I would be down that teacher's throat if I was that child's mother.

All of you ladies probably need to go to the principal.
He/she should know whats going on in your child's class.
If a teacher is yelling at the students, the principal needs to have a one-on-one with the teacher.
You going to the teacher isn't going to help, most of the time.

Sometimes this will only cause the teacher to get worse.
In different ways such as: ignoring your child when he/she has a question, or just being short or snappy with him or her.

Maybe even tell the principal that you want to be anonymous, so that it doesn't effect your child.

I teach 2nd grade and those are just some suggestions that I think would make it better for your child.

I TOTALLY understand you being angry...
But its not always best to target the teacher while you are mad.

You're welcome. I just would really hate for the teacher to take it out on your child.

Even if it were nothing verbal, being ignored is bad for a child too.

No, it was a man thats what made it even scarier... poor bug didnt wanna go back to class. Hes only 9. Hes like on the autism scale but they can't pin point exactly what he has. The kid doesnt get people yelling at him like that so I could imagine him wanting to crap himself. I'm glad his mom is related to the terminator.

First off, I would speak to the teacher. Children exaggerate all the time.

I would ensure that this actually happened before going on the warpath.

First move to an unbiased position and get the whole story from all of the players.

You child could be right...and she could be coloring the picture her way.

I know that my kids will say that I "yell" at them when I've never raised my voice, but just speak with firmness and fuss at them.
