I am due soon and I was filling out the pre - registration forms and I have to write my babys fathers info on all of it , so I just left it blank . The baby's father is going to come see him when he is born in the hospital to get a paternity test done and then he will be there for the baby but up until then I haven't written his name on anything or filed for child support or anything. Im waiting until the baby is born and hopefully his father will be there for him then. If not , then I will have to file for child support against him . Im just not sure what I should do

If you don't want to, you don't have to. After the paternity test comes back and he is ready to man up, you can refile to have his name added to the birth certificate if you want, or he can just sign some papers. Child support can be filed either way.

I'm not putting my BD on the birth certificate when she is born, so he can't take off with her. Then I'm going to put my parenting plan into place, saying he can only have supervised visits. Then the state is gonna go after him for child support.

If you don't want to put his name or file for child support, you don't have to. I never filed against her father and wouldn't have if I didn't have to go on Medicaid for Jay. And as soon as we get off it I'll be moving to stop payment and have him sign away his rights.

Yes so I can wait , and I will not get bothered by the hospital for his information when he is born ? I will wind up putting his name on the birth certificate once he grows up and decides do be a father

I am currently in the process of getting medacaid for the baby. In order to receive medacaid you need to receive child support or fill out the fathers information on those forms too ? That is going to be a whole different issue than , because the baby is not covered right now

That is comforting to know , many people have told me that I am stupid because I choose not to force his father into his life . I want his father to want to be there , and im giving him a chance. I will phone him when the baby is born , he can have his paternity test done . He can have a chance to man up and do what is right , then if he still acts this way I will file for the support
