carseat placement

so i have her car seat already and i was just wondering...where do i put it in my car? is it supposed to go in the middle, behind the passenger, or behind the driver?

If you only have the one child, safest place is the middle

Middle is best if you can swing it

if you can, and it sits correctly, it should go in the middle. if it doesnt sit correctly, then next best is behind the passenger seat.

The middle is the safest.

You need to read the manual. In our SUV we can't have a carseat in the middle w/the LATCH, and I can't get a tight enough install w/just the belt so she is behind the drivers side.

My sister works at a daycare and she had to take a car seat safety class and they said never put a carseat in the middle it is the worst place to put it.

true, not sure why they would say otherwise..... but you have to really look at the manual for YOUR carseat, and the manual for YOUR car, both will give carseat/vehicle specific recommendations.

If I had a car, the baby's carseat would be in hte middle. I have a van, so my daughter will be moving over from where she is, to behind the passengers seat, the baby is going behind the drivers seat, and my son is in the back. I was going to put my daughter beside my son, in the far back, but then I was like, no maybe not, they will always fight. So a seat in the back will be open for whoever comes with me, lol...

both of mine said middle, I read my car manual when I am bored and we arein the carand I don't feel like talking to hubs!(when he is driving of course!)
