re: carseat placement

Ok she said that you shouldn't place it in the middle cause of safety reasons with the car when impacted the car will fold in the middle and cause more injury.

obviously not trying to fight with you, but i totally disagree with all of that.... and so do car manufacturers and carseat manufacturers, obviously. i ran as a firefighter for quite some time, and i just totally disagree with that.

I could care less if you agree i am just repeating what my sister was told at a carseat safety course.

That's weird, because EVERYTHING I have read/heard has said that if you can to put baby in the middle. Some vehicles don't have the LATCH system in the middle or the spot's not big enough, but if you can swing it, that is where they should be.

the middle is the only place my car has the anchor down spot in my car.

Well they are wrong. It's not the worst place at all. Everything I have ever read (every manual for carseat and car) ALL said middle.

Actually it isn't my sister that "wrong" it would be the people certified by the state of Maine to do the car seat safety course.
