Please help

I'm having a really bad day. I cant figure out the damn username or password on my blackberry pearl and I cant find the info to reset it... I called my wireless service provider and all they said was to use the blackberry desktop software to reset it... how do i do that?? All I see is a thing for sync-ing your BB. When I do it says applications not configured for sync.I'm looking on the website and cannot find anything to help me!!! Please help I'm getting really frusterated and having a horrible day thus far and this is making it worse.
