Daycare.

posted 4th Nov
So i work at my fiance's aunts daycare. The little girls go crazy over brenton my son, they talk to him, and kiss his hands (when i tell them not to). Well yesterady one of the little girls was acting whiney, and she had a runny nose and a cough. Around 5:30 pm before her mother arrived we checked her temp and she had a 101.6 under her arm, so therefore she had an actual temp of 102.6, basically 103. We gave her tylenol at the time and by 9pm that night her temp went down to 101. Her mother ended up taking her to a 24 hour doctor and they tested her for everything and guess what she has, the swine flu. Im kinda freaking for her sake, the kids here, and most of all my 10 wk old son's sake. What if he gets it because her misbehaved self was kissing his hands which he puts in his mouth all day. I know i shouldn't keep him in a bubble away from everything but if it was the flu i wouldnt be acting like this, but its the freakin swine flu. uhh.

yeah same here but when your child is exposed to it, it becomes a priority to worry about it.

youre such an idiot. the only reason it has a higher death count in recent months, is because its a new strain, that most have not been vaccinated against. every year IS A NEW STRAIN! wow, what a concept!

well thank you for educating me on that, it will probably come to great use.

A recent report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States stated that an annual average of 36,000 Americans die from complications of influenza.

Geeze, give her a break...I doubt seriously YOU would want your baby to come in contact with the swine flu or regular flu either. If you don't care, good for you--but it's her right to be concerned.

I hope all works out OK OP and I hope he doesn't get it and I hope the other kids don't get it either.

Well obviously no one wants their kid, or themselves exposed. Acting like it's the plague is a little extreme. I've come into contact with it, and none of us have it.

I don't see her acting like it's the plague. I see it as a concerned mother, coming to other mothers maybe for some kind words and comfort.

Glad you didn't get it--and I hope her baby doesn't either. There are no guarantees, but there is no need to crucify her for being concerned IMO.
