OBESE???

So I am 5'8". 200 lbs. According to all the charts, my BMI is 32. That makes me "obese". I never considered myself obese.... Thats depressing....

Im obese too.. 

Yep...160 is perfect weight for me..I am 5'8...

But I am extremely overweight 

Alot of people are obese. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have lots of extra body fat.

I think its crazy..... I guess I got one thing going for me. Im not morbidly obese...lol

i'm the same exact, i dont feel obese though, it really is depressing and ridiculous =/

I seriously think they need to change the def of obese. Like when they say such percent of americans are obese, just b/c they are size freakin 1 or 2?!?! Obese in my book is a good 300-400 or more pounds!

Those BMI are not always correct.

The worst thing is that our height we are supposed to be between 120 & 140lbs. Makes me sick thinking about how skinny I would be.

Why? It is the truth. The definition of obese is having excess body fat that could cause health problems. That weight is getting there.

BMI is a crock of poo, btw. It doesn't take in consideration any muscle mass you might have, your body frame, etc.

You look just fine. I would never have guess 200.

F those BMI charts if you feel good and comfortable then screw them. I remember when i had my first doctor tell me i should think about losing some weight!!
my jaw hit the floor!!! i cant beleave that even the doctors are following the skinny craz!!! UGH!!!

Yeah I would consider myself overweight....I need to lose about 40-50. But if I weigh anything under 150, at my height, I look gross and anorexic....

I'm 5'8 and the same weight..as you.. my doctors office says my bmi is 29?
