Lost a Netflix movie?

Alrighty, I am a total ditz and somehow lost the last movie that I ordered from Netflix. It's been a month and I don't want to keep paying a subscription when I don't even have a movie to watch! So I went to the site and see I can pay for it ($14) and then get the next movie on my list.

I was wondering though, can't I just order it used off Amazon? I can get it for $5 including shipping and just stick it in an envelope and mail it in, right?? Is there a way they can tell if it's their movie or not??

I have no clue. My friend just says she mailed hers and it must have got lost in the mail   they have never done anything to make her pay for it, then when she finally finds it she mails it back

They put bar codes on all their DVDs.

Has she done it more than once? Because in June, I actually didn't recieve a movie that they mailed and called and told them. I am afraid I can't call and lie this time, especially because it's been a month lol

LOL tbh there's a thing on the site where u can click tht u sent the movie in awhile ago...and they prob lost it LOL
I did tht once cuz it took over a week to get one back and i did tht...

ohhhhhh like I did get it and watched it and sent it back but they never got it? Because that could explain why it's been a month since I recieved it. I really just think they'll call my bluff though lolll

That's how they keep track of their stuff, they scan it into a computer.

I don't think so. It's been awhile since I was on Netflix but I think it was put directly onto the DVD, on the clear part around the middle. But I could be super wrong.

prob not...they act like its nothing and as soon as i clicked it...they said the nxt movie will be sent tomorrow :p

ohh, ok, I was thinking they just used the barcode on the packaging, because I remember that the envelope has one. I never really looked at the DVD, it could be on the clear part around the middle. Darn it....
