the marathon is the one that would be better for bigger kids - it says it can fit a 5 lb infant - but there is no way in hell i would put an infant that small in it - the straps would never get tight enough - heack at 20 lbs the straps were boarderline not tight enough on the smallest setting. I was mistaken before the other one i have is accually the roundabout. if i had to pick my favorite of the two i would say the roundabout would be it, but both are great for the size and weight my son is now. The roundabout has been better as far as going from infant carier to the next step. I believe the roundabout is also rated better

We have the Roundabout--really like it. Not to big/bulky for travel, really safe.
