Ugh my SIL again.. *vent*

So I had posted the other day how my in laws 40th anniversary was coming up and I offered to have all 13 grandkids over to let them put together a scrapbook for them, and my bitchy SIL had a fit.

So I guess last night, she drug DH's sister into this, and so DH's sister called me this morning and said bitchy SIL will do the book, but she doesn't like having "rules and restrictions" put on her. My "rules" we to have the kids bring a picture of themselves to put on the page, so DH's sister said that she decided to keep the peace and say pictures weren't needed.

This woman in almost 40 years old, and pitches a fit when she doesn't get her way. She acts like a child! This woman has flat out lied about things, and caused so much chaos and everyone else keeps accomodating her!!

So I told DH's sister that I am just not going to do the book anymore. That there was too much drama surrounding it and after being told it was "stupid" among other things, my feelings had been hurt sevreal times and I didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. I also aknowleged I was acting sort of childish, but I was tired of it being about bitchy SIL all the time and this was just one of a lot of things she has done in even the last couple of mos.

I feel bad, cause I think that my in laws would have loved the book.

Am I wrong to just say forget it? All 4 of the other wives with kids have been drug into this plus now one thathas NO kids and no involvement in it. I am tired of her turning into a big deal and upsetting other people over it...

IDK.. What do you think??

Can you do it with just your LO? Do hand and footprints, and have them color a page or 4 for their grandparents!

i would more then likely say forget it too. you could always make one just by yourself. if you could get ahold of some pics from people you could just make a small 8x8 book or something   good luck girl

Good on you for being creative and not necessarily giving your SIL a leg up on you. She sounds like she needs serious therapy or something.

The 3 other Mom's and myself were all for it. It was just the one that was being a pain, so that is also part of the reason I feel bad. But if you had someone working so hard against it, wouldn't you feel like giving it up too??

This woman blamed my MIL for her miscarriages, saying it was because my MIL must have thought that the babies weren't perfect enough to be her grandchildren...

My daughter was in the NICU after she was born. My SIL and her boyfriend decided, the DAY AFTER her delivery, that they would bring her a stuffed penguin. Ok it was a bit heartfelt and whatnot - whatever.

THE THING WAS FULL OF FUCKING SMOKE!!! Those fuckers had told me they don't smoke, and. they. LIED.

I'm debating about whether or not I'll volunteer her for the lake.

Well seeing as how she has no problem letting her 6 y/o babysit the 3 y/o for an hour or 2 at a time (I mean, they know to not open the door for strangers, and he can change a diaper  ) I shoudl have no problem getting her there. I will tell her there is a mother planning on sending her kids to a public school!!
