Help choosing a stroller...

posted 4th Nov
I was planning on moving before giving birth but we've decided to stay in my apt for another year. I live in a 5th floor of a walk up building and need help choosing a stroller I can carry up and down. I was planning on getting a travel system since I'll need a car seat, but they seem heavy and bulky.
I need to find a stroller that's light weight and can be used for a newborn up to maybe 2-3 years? is there such a thing?
thank you

when it comes to a newborn, you have to have a stroller that reclines until theyre big enough to hold their own heads up.... thats the problem, most of the really light strollers dont really do that....

My combi is light weight, has a strap to carry it and reclines. Its a decent stroller. The only thing I HATE is the wheels don't turn super easy.

Noo I don't have a car. My husband does, if i were to leave the stroller in the car I'd have to wait for him to return from work to go anywhere.
Thank you ladies...

know what the solution to this problem is? a sling or a wrap   ive honestly NEVER used my nice expensive stroller, because a sling or wraps is so much easier, and i like it better since my hands are free.... then, when the LO is old enoguh to sit up by themselves, you can get like, an umbrella stroller or something really light.

The sling sounds like a good idea... I'm overweight right now so I'd need to figure it out.

try a wrap then? moby wraps, etc ( i make my own moby wraps, so you could do that and just make them a bit longer than normal) are going to wrap around you to adjust to your body, so you can totally use those without a problem. a sling you might find a harder time with; i have a hard time with them sometimes, because im really tall, so i have to get bigger sizes just from that.

Maclarens. I got one for my daughter. They weigh about 13 pounds and hold up to 60 pds I believe. You can use from Birth-60pds. Go to their website. Slings are a good idea too

if u wanna go the maclaren way..theres always the maclaren techno xlr that takes a car seat, reclines flat so its suitable from birth...has a nice plush seat...and folds small like an umbrella stroller...so virtually u wont need to buy another stroller again...but that depends on your budget...if u dont mind spending a few hundred dollars on your stroller and car seat...then thats the best choice.

There is the Quinny Zapp as well...but that doesnt recline and is only suitable from birth with a car seat...and u dont wanna use a car seat on your stroller when ur not using ur car...the good thing with the maclaren is that its comfy enough for your baby without the car seat...for lets say when u walk with your stroller
